About Us
A Note from the Founder
Sometimes the hardest part of being hurt is having to prove it exists.
I started Invisible Injury Advocates not as a designer or business owner, but as someone living with an invisible injury. My life changed after a traumatic event that left me physically and cognitively impacted — yet on the outside, I looked “fine.”
What followed was an exhausting journey through pain, confusion, isolation, and dismissal. I quickly learned that the hardest part of recovery wasn’t always the symptoms — it was being unheard, unseen, and disbelieved. I wanted to speak, but I didn’t always have the energy or words. That silence hurt more than anything.
So I turned to something simple but powerful: a T-shirt. A message. A way to be seen when I didn’t feel strong enough to speak.
That’s how Invisible Injury Advocates was born — from the need to create visibility, connection, and awareness for people who are often suffering in silence. People like me. People like you. People like someone you may love.
Why This Matters to Me
I believe advocacy doesn’t always require a podium. It can start with a shirt. With a word. With a story. Every time someone wears one of these designs, they help create a space for truth — for healing, for conversation, for change.
This isn’t just merchandise. It’s a message that reminds others: you are seen, you are valid, and you are not alone.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
